Demonstrating Performance Beyond Standard Requirements
Broadlink Marketing Sdn Bhd, through its reTOUCH brand, achieved a significant technical milestone with its BS 1363 13A double-pole socket, recording results beyond the specified requirements across three performance tests.
The socket achieved a 960°C glow-wire test result against the 850°C standard, demonstrating its performance under elevated thermal testing conditions.
In electrical strength testing, the product withstood 4kV a.c. for one minute, compared with the 2kV standard requirement, while its plug endurance result reached 69,400 cycles against the 15,000-cycle standard.
These SIRIM-verified results reflect the product’s documented performance in thermal resistance, electrical insulation and repeated mechanical operation, forming the basis of its ASIA Records recognition.
