HONOR Recognised by ASIA Records for First Humanoid Robot to Complete a 10-Kilometre Public Road Run and March in a National Day Parade

ASIA Records is proud to officially recognise HONOR for achieving a significant continental milestone as the:

First Humanoid Robot to Complete a 10-Kilometre Public Road Run and March in a National Day Parade
(open road course, 30 August 2026; Malaysia’s National Day Parade, 31 August 2026).

This achievement marks a significant step in humanoid robotics, demonstrating the ability of HONOR Robotics D1 to perform continuously across both an endurance road environment and a major national ceremonial event.

History in Motion Across Two Major Public Events

HONOR’s self-developed HONOR Robotics D1 completed the record across two consecutive days in Malaysia.

On 30 August 2026, the humanoid robot made its first public appearance anywhere outside China at the Malaysia Marathon 2026, completing a 10-kilometre public road run on its own two legs.

The following day, on 31 August 2026, it joined Malaysia’s National Day Parade in Putrajaya, marching independently before a large audience as part of the national celebration.

The consecutive appearances placed the robot in two very different real-world environments—one demanding endurance and sustained mobility, and the other requiring controlled movement within a large-scale ceremonial setting.

Taking Humanoid Robotics Beyond the Laboratory

The achievement demonstrates the growing potential for humanoid robotics to operate outside controlled testing environments.

By successfully transitioning from an open-road endurance challenge to a national parade within two days, the HONOR Robotics D1 showcased capabilities in stability, mobility, battery management, and continuous performance.

Malaysia’s selection as the robot’s first overseas destination also reflects the country’s importance to HONOR as a market and as a platform for showcasing emerging technologies.

The appearance further coincided with HONOR’s first participation in Malaysia’s national-level Merdeka celebrations, creating a milestone that connected technological innovation with one of the country’s most significant public events.

A Milestone Moment of Acknowledgement

The ASIA Records certificate was officially presented on 31 August 2026 at the Merdeka Parade in Putrajaya, marking the formal acknowledgement of HONOR’s continental record achievement.

The recognition was received on stage by Ethan Chen, Deputy Country Director of HONOR Malaysia, representing HONOR’s innovation team and the development behind the Robotics D1’s first overseas public appearance.

Voices of Leadership

Reflecting on the milestone, Ethan Chen, Deputy Country Director of HONOR Malaysia, shared:

“Malaysia is an important market for HONOR, supported by a strong foundation and the continued success of the HONOR X9 Series, which has become a ‘Top Choice of Malaysians.’

We chose Malaysia as the first international destination for the debut of our humanoid robot, reflecting both our confidence in the market and its strategic importance within HONOR’s broader regional development.

This ASIA Records recognition encourages us to continue advancing new technologies and bringing meaningful innovation to consumers as we move towards a smarter future together.”
