ASIA Records is proud to officially recognise Sintak Kee Foods Sdn Bhd for achieving the milestone:
First Manufacturer to Use Omega-3 Pork in Traditional Fuzhou Char Siew Pau with the Most Units Sold in a Single Year (2,238,391 units sold in 2025; Fuzhou Char Siew Pau in production since 2001, Omega-3 Pork variant introduced in 2024)
This recognition celebrates Sintak Kee Foods’ successful integration of modern ingredient innovation into one of Asia’s distinctive traditional Fuzhou delicacies. By combining authentic Fuzhou craftsmanship with Omega-3 pork, the company has demonstrated how heritage cuisine can evolve to meet modern consumer preferences while preserving its original flavour and cultural identity.
Preserving Traditional Flavours Through Modern Manufacturing
Established in 2001, Sintak Kee Foods Trading has grown into one of Malaysia’s leading manufacturers of frozen buns and dim sum products. The company is recognised for producing authentic Chinese and Hong Kong-style buns and dim sum using time-honoured methods supported by modern food manufacturing standards.
Through its subsidiary and national distribution arm, the group has established an extensive market presence with more than 2,000 sales points across Malaysia. Its products are supplied to morning markets, night markets, coffee shops, restaurants, mini markets, supermarkets, hypermarkets, frozen food retailers, and other non-halal food outlets.
Today, the company operates three modern production factories and warehouses in the Seri Kembangan Industrial Zone, each spanning approximately 12,000 square feet, supported by a dedicated workforce of about 200 employees.
Elevating Traditional Fuzhou Char Siew Pau Through Ingredient Innovation
At the centre of this achievement is Sintak Kee Foods’ innovation in incorporating Omega-3 pork into its traditional Fuzhou Char Siew Pau.
Its signature Honey BBQ Char Siew Pau combines a savoury-sweet barbecue pork filling with soft handmade pau skin, offering consumers the familiar taste of authentic Fuzhou-style Char Siew Pau while introducing a modern ingredient innovation.
Introduced in 2024, the Omega-3 pork formulation reflects the company’s commitment to continuously improving its products without compromising traditional recipes.
During product development, the team visited producers and pork farms across Malaysia to study Char Siew Pau preparation techniques and better understand raw material quality. Working closely with supply chain partners, Sintak Kee Foods refined its recipe to reduce the stronger pork aroma commonly associated with traditional fillings while preserving the authentic taste and texture of Fuzhou-style Char Siew Pau.
Record-Breaking Consumer Acceptance
In 2025, Sintak Kee Foods achieved sales of 2,238,391 units of its Omega-3 Pork Traditional Fuzhou Char Siew Pau, establishing the milestone recognised by ASIA Records.
The achievement reflects strong consumer confidence in products that successfully combine authentic heritage recipes with continuous product innovation.
Beyond Char Siew Pau, the company manufactures more than 200 varieties of frozen food products, including dim sum, traditional pau, cartoon character buns, premium packaged products, western food, snack items, and specialty sauces, serving both retail and food service markets nationwide.
Preserving Fuzhou Culinary Heritage for Future Generations
Beyond commercial success, Sintak Kee Foods remains committed to preserving the heritage of traditional Fuzhou cuisine.
According to the company, Fuzhou buns were once a common staple in Malaysian coffee shops, particularly within communities originating from Sitiawan. As Hong Kong-style dim sum gradually became more dominant, traditional Fuzhou pastries became increasingly uncommon in the marketplace.
Through continuous product development, large-scale manufacturing, and nationwide distribution, Sintak Kee Foods aims to introduce authentic Fuzhou delicacies to younger generations while demonstrating that Malaysian Fuzhou cuisine continues to possess strong cultural and commercial value.
Quality Manufacturing Supporting Nationwide Distribution
Sintak Kee Foods places strong emphasis on quality assurance, food safety, and manufacturing consistency.
Its frozen products are securely packaged using hygienic food-grade materials with clear preparation instructions to ensure product quality and consumer confidence. Supported by advanced freezing technology and modern production facilities, the company combines authentic craftsmanship with efficient large-scale manufacturing.
This integrated manufacturing capability has enabled Sintak Kee Foods to become one of Malaysia’s recognised frozen food producers while preserving the traditional character of its products.
