ASIA Records is proud to officially recognise the Malaysia Gifts Fair (MGF), organised by the Malaysian Gifts & Premium Association (MGPA), for achieving a significant milestone in Malaysia’s gifts, premium and printing technology industry:
Largest Gifts, Premium and Printing Technology Trade Fair Organized by a National Industry Association(405 booths across 4 halls, single floor; 50,000+ products on display; held annually since 2009)
The recognition acknowledges the scale and continuity of the Malaysia Gifts Fair, which has been held annually since 2009 and has developed into an established industry platform bringing together gifts, premium products, printing technology, suppliers, buyers and trade professionals.
For its 16th edition in 2026, the fair featured 405 booths across four exhibition halls on a single floor, with more than 50,000 products on display, reflecting the breadth of the industry represented at the event.

The 2026 edition also carried the theme “Redefining Sustainable Gifting for a Better Tomorrow,” reflecting increasing industry attention towards responsible sourcing, sustainability, innovation and changing expectations within the corporate gifting sector. The fair was endorsed by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC).

Building an Industry Platform Since 2009

Organised by the Malaysian Gifts & Premium Association (MGPA), the Malaysia Gifts Fair has served as a dedicated trade platform for the gifts and premium industry since its introduction in 2009.
The 16th Malaysia Gifts Fair 2026 was held from 30 June to 2 July 2026 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), with the exhibition expanding across Hall 1 to Hall 4 for the first time. The fair operated from 10.00am to 6.00pm daily throughout its three-day run.
The expanded edition was expected to welcome more than 16,000 trade professionals, including corporate buyers, procurement teams, gift agents and industry representatives from Malaysia and the wider region.
By bringing together 405 booths and more than 50,000 products within a single-floor exhibition environment, the fair provided trade visitors with access to an extensive range of suppliers, products, technologies and sourcing opportunities within one venue.
The scale of the 2026 edition forms the basis of its official recognition by ASIA Records, while its annual organisation since 2009 reflects MGPA’s continued role in facilitating industry engagement and business connections.
More Than 50,000 Products Across a Diverse Industry Showcase

A defining element of the recognised achievement is the concentration of 405 booths across four exhibition halls on a single floor.
More than 50,000 products were displayed across 10 major product categories, with offerings ranging from sustainable products and customised apparel to gadgets, bags, trophies, printing machinery and packaging solutions.

The 2026 edition also included participation from the handicraft industry alongside international exhibitors from Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, Bangladesh, France and Uzbekistan, adding greater diversity to the sourcing opportunities available to trade visitors.
The breadth of the exhibition demonstrates how the gifts and premium sector extends beyond conventional corporate merchandise to encompass product design, personalisation, printing, packaging, technology and increasingly sustainability-focused solutions.

By bringing these categories together, the Malaysia Gifts Fair provides a central environment for businesses to discover products, meet suppliers, understand emerging trends and establish new commercial connections.
Responding to a Changing Gifting Industry

The theme of the 16th Malaysia Gifts Fair 2026, “Redefining Sustainable Gifting for a Better Tomorrow,” reflected the changing priorities influencing corporate procurement and the wider gifts and premium sector.
Businesses are increasingly considering sustainability, environmental responsibility, product relevance, technology and accountability when selecting corporate gifts and sourcing partners.
During the opening, YB Datuk Seri Ir. Dr. Wee Ka Siong highlighted the importance of business-to-business exhibitions in enabling small and medium enterprises to form partnerships and expand into new markets. He also noted that the Malaysia Gifts Fair had generated more than RM50 million in trade transactions in the previous year, demonstrating the commercial activity facilitated through the platform.
The 2026 fair therefore represented more than a product exhibition. It provided an environment for manufacturers, distributors, suppliers, buyers and industry professionals to exchange ideas, develop business relationships and respond to changing market requirements.
Supporting SMEs and Regional Business Connections

Trade exhibitions provide businesses with opportunities to reach new buyers, demonstrate products and build connections that may be difficult to establish through conventional sales channels alone.
This is particularly relevant for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) seeking to expand their visibility, connect with procurement professionals and explore opportunities beyond their existing markets.
With more than 16,000 trade professionals expected over three days, together with international exhibitors and visitors, the Malaysia Gifts Fair strengthens opportunities for business-to-business interaction across the regional gifts and premium supply chain.
The participation of businesses from several international markets also strengthens the fair’s role as a meeting point between Malaysian businesses and the wider regional and international trade community.

The recognition was received by Alex Chai, Organising Chairman of the 16th Malaysia Gifts Fair 2026, together with Ivan Loo, President of the Malaysian Gifts & Premium Association (MGPA).
The presentation was witnessed by Guest of Honour YB Datuk Seri Ir. Dr. Wee Ka Siong, Member of Parliament, and Samuel Lee Thai Hung, Deputy Director General of Tourism Malaysia, who attended as the representative of the Minister of Tourism.
The recognition marks an important milestone for both the Malaysia Gifts Fair and MGPA, acknowledging the scale achieved by the trade fair and the association’s continued organisation of the industry platform since 2009.
Voices of Leadership
Reflecting on the changing business environment and the direction of the gifting industry, Ivan Loo, President of the Malaysian Gifts & Premium Association, shared:

“Technology and AI are reshaping how business is done. And across industries, decision-makers are under growing pressure to source smarter, faster, and with greater accountability.”
His remarks reflected the wider direction of the 2026 fair, where sustainability, responsible sourcing and technology formed part of the discussion around how the gifts and premium sector is evolving.
Commenting on the expansion of the event, Alex Chai, Organising Chairman of the 16th Malaysia Gifts Fair 2026, said:

“The expansion to four full exhibition halls is a milestone that reflects the remarkable growth of this platform.”
He also described the recognition as a collective achievement made possible through the continued participation of exhibitors, buyers, partners and supporters who have contributed to the fair’s development over the years.
Connecting Trade, Sustainability and Business Tourism

The scale of the Malaysia Gifts Fair also extends its relevance beyond the gifts and premium industry.
By attracting trade professionals and international industry participants to Kuala Lumpur, the event contributes to Malaysia’s wider business events ecosystem and supports activity across hospitality, retail and related services.
This was particularly relevant during Visit Malaysia 2026, with the fair providing an opportunity to showcase Malaysia not only as a source of gifts and premium products but also as a destination for regional business events and trade engagement.
The combination of international participation, business sourcing, sustainable product development and professional networking strengthens the role of trade exhibitions in connecting Malaysian companies with regional markets.
Strengthening the Gifts and Premium Industry Across Asia
The Malaysia Gifts Fair’s combination of 405 booths, four exhibition halls and more than 50,000 products demonstrates the scale that a national industry association can achieve through a dedicated trade platform.
Its continued organisation since 2009 has created an established meeting point for suppliers, buyers, manufacturers, distributors and other industry professionals while providing businesses with opportunities to showcase new products and respond to evolving market requirements.

The growing focus on sustainability also reflects a broader shift within the industry, where corporate buyers increasingly consider product lifecycle, packaging, materials, sourcing practices and brand values when making procurement decisions.
Through its 16th edition, the Malaysia Gifts Fair brought these developments together within a single trade environment while strengthening opportunities for sourcing, industry collaboration and regional business connections.
The ASIA Records recognition reflects the scale and continuity of this platform and marks an important milestone in the continuing development of Malaysia’s gifts, premium and printing technology sector.
