The record-setting achievement was completed at SkyPark Regional Aviation Centre (SRAC), where the HONOR MAGIC V6 successfully towed a 1.25-tonne Diamond DA42 aircraft across a 150-metre distance.
This feat was designed to demonstrate the strength of the device’s HONOR Super Steel Hinge, which features an industry-leading 2,800 MPa tensile strength and has been tested for up to 500,000 folding cycles.
Beyond the aircraft tow, HONOR also demonstrated the device’s durability through additional extreme challenges, including pulling a Ferrari sports car and being used as a pull-up bar—showcasing the foldable flagship’s resilience across multiple stress tests.

The HONOR MAGIC V6 combines advanced hinge technology, reinforced display protection, and robust water and dust resistance to deliver a new level of confidence for foldable smartphone users.

The ASIA Records certificate was officially presented on 21 May 2026 at SkyPark Regional Aviation Centre (SRAC), marking the formal recognition of HONOR MAGIC V6’s record achievement.
The recognition was received on stage by Ethan Chen, Deputy Country Director of HONOR Malaysia, representing the team behind this landmark durability milestone.
