The Bangi Golf Resort Durian-Carrying Run offers participants a unique challenge unlike any conventional road race—completing a 5-kilometre course while carrying a whole durian from start to finish.
Since its debut in 2019, the event has attracted participants from diverse backgrounds, with runners embracing the challenge through creative carrying techniques and colourful costumes that have become a defining feature of the race.
The event showcases how Malaysia’s iconic King of Fruits can be transformed into an engaging tourism and lifestyle attraction.

The ASIA Records certificate was officially presented on 4 July 2026 at Bangi Resort Hotel, marking the formal recognition of Bangi Golf Resort’s record achievement.
The recognition was received on stage by Datuk Zaini Yusoff, Immediate Past Chairperson of REDHA Selangor Branch, together with Tan Ban Keat, Founder of the Bangi Golf Resort Durian Festival & Awards, representing the vision and dedication behind this internationally recognised tourism initiative.
