ASIA Records took part in the “Ecosystem Co-Building: Malaysia Innovative Enterprises Business Matching Conference” held in Beijing on 6 August 2026. ASIA Records attended together with its partner Beijing Mailai International Consulting Development Co., Ltd, and introduced to attending enterprises the assessment standards, application procedures and supporting documentation required for record certification.
About the Conference
The “Ecosystem Co-Building: Malaysia Innovative Enterprises Business Matching Conference” was held in Beijing and focused on business matching and cooperation opportunities between Malaysian and Chinese enterprises, with participants drawn from both sides. During its session, ASIA Records explained how record certification works and how enterprises may apply in respect of their measurable achievements.
Assessment Standards and Application Procedure
Eldrick Koh 辜军茗, Chief Adjudicator of ASIA Records, explained that record certification is based on criteria that are measurable, verifiable and supported by documentary evidence. Applicants are required to submit complete supporting materials, which may include registration documents, production or sales data, third-party reports, or other records capable of verification.
All applications are independently assessed by ASIA Records under its own standards. Assessment is not based on the size or prominence of an applicant, but on whether the materials submitted support the specific claim made. Where the materials are insufficient to support the claim, the application is not certified.
Eldrick Koh said:
“We are often asked what kind of achievement can become a record. The answer is not about scale — it is about whether the claim can be stated precisely and whether it can be verified.
For an application to succeed, it needs a specific claim, clear dates and figures, and materials that can be checked. Where the evidence is insufficient, we do not certify. That standard applies to every applicant.
Chinese enterprises have built up a great deal in manufacturing, technology and product development, and much of it is well documented. What we hope to do is see that work recorded in a way that can be verified.”
Record Holders
ASIA Records’ assessment scope covers 47 countries in Asia. Certifications are issued to enterprises, organisations, associations and individuals across sectors including manufacturing, retail, food and beverage, technology, education, sports and cultural heritage.
Enterprises in both mainland China and Hong Kong have received certification. In November 2025, ASIA Records presented a certificate in Guangzhou to GuangDong Infull Industrial Co., Ltd, recognising its achievement in ODM manufacturing and the commercialisation of a co-designed product series — the first record certified by ASIA Records in mainland China. In August 2026, certificates were presented in Hong Kong to Wing Wah Cake Shop and to Tai Wing Wah Restaurant, in respect of product innovation and the preservation of culinary tradition respectively.
ASIA Records continues to conduct certifications in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and elsewhere, covering enterprise operational data, product development, mass participation events and individual achievements.
