Sustaining Market Performance Across Successive Generations
The HONOR X9 Series maintained its position as Malaysia’s No. 1 best-selling mid-range smartphone series for three consecutive years, according to HONOR.
The journey began in Malaysia with the HONOR X9 in 2022, followed by successive generations including the HONOR X9a, X9b, X9c and X9d, with each generation contributing to the continued development and market performance of the series.
Across the certified period from February 2023 to March 2026, the HONOR X9 Series reached a peak market share of 77%, with the HONOR X9d contributing to the latest stage of the series’ performance.
The milestone demonstrates sustained consumer demand across multiple generations and provides the foundation for HONOR’s continued development of its X9 smartphone portfolio.
Engineering the X9 Series Around Everyday Resilience
Durability has become a central focus of the HONOR X9 Series, with successive generations developed around practical challenges encountered by smartphone users.
The new HONOR X9e Pro continues this direction with resistance against drops of up to 3 metres and an SGS 5-Star Drop Resistance in Harsh Conditions certification.
It also carries IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K water and dust resistance ratings. HONOR states that the device supports water resistance at depths of up to 10 metres under specified controlled test conditions, extending the series’ focus on resilience into more demanding environments.
The device is powered by an 11,000mAh battery, supported by 80W HONOR SuperCharge and 27W reverse wired charging.
Complementing its durability and battery capacity is an ultra-bright display capable of reaching 10,000 nits peak brightness, designed to improve visibility under demanding lighting conditions.
Building Consumer Confidence Beyond Hardware
HONOR has complemented the physical durability of the HONOR X9e Pro with expanded after-sales protection.
Through HONOR Rakyat Care+, the device includes 730-day front and back crack protection and 730-day liquid damage protection.
The protection programme is designed to address common accidental-damage concerns while complementing the durability technologies incorporated into the smartphone itself.
By developing both the hardware and the support surrounding the device, HONOR aims to provide consumers with greater confidence throughout the ownership experience — an approach that reflects the consumer-focused strategy behind the continued evolution of the X9 Series.

ASIA Records recognition was officially presented on 24 September 2026 at Hyatt Regency Kuala Lumpur at KL Midtown.

The Next Chapter: HONOR X9e Pro
Building on the performance of the previous X9 generations, the HONOR X9e Pro carries the series forward with upgrades spanning durability, water resistance, battery capacity, charging, display technology and device protection.
The smartphone is available in Royal Purple, Reddish Brown, Dawn Gold and Midnight Black.
In Malaysia, the 256GB variant is priced at RM1,899, while the 512GB variant is priced at RM2,399.
Pre-orders run from 24 September to 8 October 2026, with eligible purchases receiving gifts and benefits valued at up to RM1,626, including an HONOR Pad X7, RM100 instant rebate, HONOR Rakyat Care+, and a one-year extended warranty, subject to applicable campaign terms and availability.
