Conducted from 18 to 21 September 2026, the four-day ceremony was held by the Goh Family in remembrance of their late grandparents and in gratitude for the love, guidance and blessings passed down through generations.
The recognition documents an exceptional expression of Hokkien Taoist ancestral tradition, distinguished by the scale of its handcrafted paper offerings and the number of religious and ceremonial participants involved.
Extraordinary Craftsmanship in Ancestral Offerings
A defining feature of the ceremony was its remarkable collection of traditional paper offerings, led by a 48 ft × 28 ft × 15 ft merit house incorporating a three-key underground treasury.
Alongside it stood a 20-foot paper private jet with an 18-foot wingspan, complemented by four palanquins and 202 paper figures.
The scale and detail of these structures reflected the extensive preparation and specialised craftsmanship involved in creating ceremonial offerings for the ancestral merit-making observance.
Together, they transformed longstanding symbolic practices into an unusually large and intricate physical expression of remembrance and filial devotion.
A Four-Day Gathering of Ceremonial Tradition

The ceremony brought together 21 Taoist priests, accompanied by ritual musicians, with 30 ceremonial participants in total involved throughout the programme.

The ASIA Records certificate was officially presented on 21 September 2026 at Sekolah Rendah Jenis Kebangsaan (Cina) Ming Tee.
The recognition was received on stage by Goh Leong Sing, Goh Leong Chai, Goh Leong Hing and Dato’ Wira Goh Kian Chuan, with the presentation witnessed by Dato Tony Looi.
